HERMON Logistics, Lda conducts business with loyalty, fairness, transparency, honesty and integrity in compliance with laws, regulations, mandatory requirements, international standards and guidelines, both domestic and foreign. In this context, corruption is a threat to our activity and our employees, and it is contrary to our culture, therefore, it is very important to us to have clear business policies against corruption and to take corrective measures to always be compliant with these policies.
In accordance with the “zero tolerance” approach towards bribery and corporate crimes, HERMON’s Anti-Corruption Compliance Program, which is fully adhered to by all HERMON’s personnel, summarizes the commitment of HERMON with respect to the principles introduced by the anti-corruption laws and by the relevant international Best Practices, in order to prevent and contrast corruption risk.
The first step in developing an efficient strategy to fight against corruptive phenomena, is to build in-depth knowledge of the prevention tools. For this reason, an activity to encourage awareness among HERMON Personnel was implemented, requiring strong commitment and attention to understanding and implementing the compliance control systems of the Anticorruption Compliance Program in everyday business transactions.
The effective implementation of this compliance system is fundamental for HERMON’s personnel and for the entire business.
We would also like to emphasize that HERMON’s managers abide to their commitments by complying with all the applicable anti-corruption laws, HERMON’s Code of Ethics, Anti-Corruption Policy and Anti-Corruption Procedures, to disseminate and transfer HERMON’s values of integrity to all they work with and represent to those people, through their conduct, a correct behavioral model.

Training And Development
- Develop course material, review or update existing courses as per sector and client requirements;
- Advise line management on appropriate training interventions;
- Facilitate training interventions;
- Coordinate the training process;
- Evaluate course effectiveness;
- Compile and update training matrix;
- Distribute training schedules;
- Coordinate training requests;
- Drawing individual development plan for employees;
- Monitor career progression of the subordinates;
- Managing production activities by ensuring that operators are properly trained and competency levels reached before appointment;
- Production case studies by monitoring cycle times, truck spotting and truck matching, hauling distances and footwall conditions.
Human Resources
- To administer the Human Resources function on the project, and at all times to act in the best interest of the company;
- To provide control and direction of recruitment, selection and placement of personnel, and coordinate through the training department, to ensure sufficient skilled resources are in place to achieve the objectives as set out by management;
- To ensure that management systems, processes, policies, standard operating procedure and legal requirements are adhered to;
- Maintain and improve relationship with key clients;
- Interact with clients and familiarize with operational concerns and any inherent peculiarities;
- Ensure all employees comply with the relevant legislations;
- Industrial relations (conflict management, discipline and grievances, recognition agreements and national agreements);
- Ensure all employees are properly trained on the disciplinary procedure;
- Proactively maintain communications with the local community with a view to detecting any potential community issues or unrest that may affect the operations of the company;
SHERQ
- Participate and monitor compliance of the SHERQ systems within the entire organization;
- Drafting and implementing the safe work procedures, safety and environmental management plan, and method statements for new or changed work processes;
- Managing and monitoring compliance of the standard operating procedures, code of practices and all applicable laws and regulations;
- Monitor compliance to the Occupational Safety Health act and Mines Health Safety act in all operational activities;
- Conduct workplace safety observations and planned task observations;
- Ensure service mobile equipment standards are adhered to without exception.
